Brixham - The Harbours

Brixham, where I reside, is a town of many colours.  For the observant photographer it is the jewel in the crown of Torbay with boats of all sizes and colours in its three harbours and marina.  The inner harbour is perhaps the easiest to photograph since access can be gained on three sides.  Here the water is placid and reflections of the boats, the shops and the cottages above abound, whether at high or low tide.  However, as we shall see from some of the images, given two or three days of winter's easterly gales  the sea takes on a new and fearsome face.  Only a complete fool would attempt to walk the breakwater in those conditions.  Brixham is a place of many suprises, such as the annual French market with its vastly overpriced and overated food, but you must stop, stare and seek them out.
